The Lone Star
Award

The Lone Star Award was established in 1997 to recognize exceptional service to LSCC. Any LSCC member
in good standing may nominate a member to the LSCC Board of Director Officers for this special recognition if
they meet the following criteria.

1. Nominee must be an LSCC member in good standing.
2. Nominee has consistently contributed to the LSCC for no less than 3 consecutive years and reflects a positive image of the LSCC.
3. Nominee must be someone that is recognized by the LSCC Board of Director Officers as having made major contributions to the club.
4. No currently elected LSCC officer, Honorary or Junior LSCC members are eligible for the award.
5. A unanimous vote by secret ballot from elected LSCC Board of Directors Officers is required.

Lone Star Award(s) will be presented at the annual LSCC Christmas Party.

2023 Lone Star Award

Congratulations to

Mike & Terri Krieger

Congratulations to our 2023 Lone Star Award recipients, Mike and Terri Krieger! The winner(s) of this award are recognized every year during the Club’s Christmas party and presented with their Lone Star Award trophy. The Krieger's were nominated and selected based on the numerous hours they both spent volunteering to help the Lone Star Corvette Club and its Members.

This was their nomination:

Terri has performed a variety of service roles over the years including Board Secretary, Treasurer, and Financial Officer. Terri has consistently volunteered in roles with the LSCC Classic event, often managing registrations.

Mike has also been an outstanding Club member and has organized rallies for charities which saw the Club through the pandemic when many events had to be cancelled. Mike has led more than seven road trips for the National Corvette Museum’s Museum in Motion program. As such, he has represented our Club in a positive light to other clubs around the United States.

2022 LONE STAR AWARD

Ric & Carolyn Atkins

Ric and Carolyn Atkins have been members for over 9 years. They have been consistently active members in trips, events, meetings and volunteering. They have been coordinators for Good Guys, Fort Worth New Car Show and volunteered for many events. Carolyn served as LSCC Secretary in 2015, 2016 & 2017 and as LSCC Treasure in 2018 & 2019. She accepted the Classic Officer nomination for 2019 & 2020 but withdrew as she and Ric took on childcare responsibilities for their grandchild. In spite of Ric’s poor health conditions, they nevertheless continue to be active in club activities. They represent Lone Star Corvette Club in a positive way and refer new members as well.
